You don’t need to be a technical whizzo to get audio clips on your website.

The service I’ve found is just easy point and click stuff.  You can phone in, leave your audio message and then grab the simple ready-made code and drop it onto your website to give you one of those nifty little ‘Play’ buttons.

The cool thing about Instant Audio, which I use, is that it comes with a bunch of templates - like audio postcards and testimonial grabbers (just place a simple link on your site and people can start giving you audio testimonials - a real conversion rate booster!).

There are loads of ways you can use audio on your site to make more sales such as:

  • Explaining your order process
  • Giving a quick introduction to yourself on your homepage
  • Telling visitors about your latest products and news
  • Sending an audio postcard to your list about your latest offer

A Good Find

Every now and then I find a site that makes me think.  Like a good book, finding a website that makes you think is a great thing and I’d love to share this one with you.

Six In Seven?

The guy’s name is Jeff Walker and he was partly responsible for the monumental launch of John Reese’s Traffic Secrets in August 2004 that made over $1 Million in 24 hours.

His site is called Six In Seven because he once made a 6-figure sum in just 7 days - and it wasn’t selling anything to do with internet marketing.

Jeff has put together a simple, free course (try and spot where he tries to sell you something because I  haven’t found it yet!!) that guides you through the basics of launching a new product on the internet.

Ever Asked Yourself These Questions?

How do I find a niche market?
How do I find out what people want?
What is the best way to get started selling something online?

If you have - I strongly suggest you take a look at Jeff’s course.  It’s like a breath of fresh air in all the gunk that’s out there.

Have a look at Jeff Walker’s website.

I read a great post today on the Warrior Forum ( http://www.warriorforum.com/forum/ ) asking how much money have spent online?

It set me thinking and it was great to read the differing responses.  There were some people who have spent tens of thousands online to build their businesses and most of them cited ebooks and marketing courses as being where a big chunk of the cash goes.

On the other hand there were others that have only spent $100 in the past 5 years!!

So What Is The Right Amount To Spend?

Only you can answer that!  All I know is that the more you invest in education the quicker you will learn how to be successful.

I spent a good few years online thinking I could learn it all myself and steered away from all those big name gurus.  But after loads of frustration I decided to bite the bullet and see what they had to say.

It was when I actually started learning from the real pros that I started to really start earning decent money online.

On a more general note - I now have a personal goal to read 100 books this year.  In this age, and on the Internet in particular, the one single thing that has the largest impact on your earnings is INFORMATION.

Not to put too fine a point on it but what you know is what you earn.

Here in Scotland it’s snowing heavily.  I mean like nearly a foot of the stuff!

Kids are off school and my morning jog was kinda interesting with people looking at me like I was a freak to even be outside in this weather, never mind JOGGING!

Anyway, as I was making a snowball in my hands to throw for my dog it set me thinking..

How many snowflakes did it take to make this snowball?

Now I don’t know the answer to this (if you do, let me know!) but I reckon we’re talking a few hundred thousand maybe..?

So what’s my point?

Well, someone looking at me making that snowball might have said;

"It only took you 5 seconds to make that snowball."

But he’d be wrong.  Think of how long it took for the thousands of snowflakes to fall down from the clouds, settle and land in the spot I chose to bind them altogether.  And then think of how the water that made the snow ended up in the clouds in the first place.  How long did it take to come from the river or sea and then evaporate up into the clouds?

"Hit me with the message now Michael coz you’re losing me!"

Well - the message is that this is what building a successful business is like.  When you finally start to make headway, outsiders might look in and call you an overnight success but really you’ve spent years building the thing up, snowflake by snowflake.

So stop looking for ‘the next big thing’ - just concentrate on adding a few snowflakes each and every day and before you know it, you’ll have yourself the perfect snowball!
