DIFFERENT KINDS OF UPSELLS
Step 1 of 3. Read This:
1. Different product versions.
Some examples are transcripts, hard copies or audios pertaining to the product. The secret is to think of something that is easy to understand and will probably make your customers’ lives easier too.
2. Behind the scenes.
Majority of people wants to know what’s happening behind the camera or those that have been erased in the process of creating the product. Doing behind the scene audios or videos not only shows the effort you put in but also the real person behind the product.
3. Related products or services.
Doesn’t have to be the same product. It can be a product that may solve the same need but in a different process. You can even try and upsell an entirely different product. It’s all about PR!
4. Status upgrade.
Giving Gold or Platinum upgrades is for exclusivity and higher status purposes. Means your customers are on the next higher level that not everyone is privy to.
5. Personal tutorial.
With you, of course. Provide live training or coaching. You can even do live webcam shows. You are taking the time off to be of personal assistance to your customers. This is one of the best services you can provide them.
6. Easy steps.
This can work if the product deals with training or know-hows. You can offer an upsell of training the easier way. Or secrets that weren’t mentioned in the main product. Go as far as giving results in easy steps.
7. Expert Advice.
Produce an ebook, audio or video of an interview with experts on the product. People listen to experts because they’ve been there and done it. Make use of role models.
Share advice on tactics you’ve used. Or strategies successful people are using. Give out tactics people don’t get to read about everyday. The more, the better.
