One of the biggest names in fulfilment, warehousing and shipping on the Internet has gone under.
The fulfilment company Ifulfill.com (as used by marketers Jason Potash and John Reese) has announced that it is to cease trading due to lack of funds.
The news came like a bolt out of the blue to many traders who use the company to store and ship their goods to Internet users worldwide. It just goes to show that even in these bouyant times of Internet growth that if you don’t get the basics of management and cashflow right you can end up with the dogs.
Company MD Paul Purdue has set up an extensive blog where he explains what went wrong. It makes interesting if rather upsetting reading, particularly for business owners.
