I sent an email over the weekend with the subject (brace yourself) “Time for a pussy clearout” where I told people to get off my list if they were freebie-seekers, time-wasters or tyre-kickers…

The result (and replies) were an education in human psychology.

I had people saying they loved my emails.

Some people thought my use of language was inappropriate.

And some people voted with their fingers and unsubscribed – 117 of them to be exact.

The end result – less pussies on my list.

I don’t want sensitive people on my list who can’t hear the abrasive truth about doing business online.

And if they don’t like my marketing style or tone of voice then they should go elsewhere where they can get 50 shades of vanilla until the cows come home.

I don’t write what I do for shock value.

I write what I write because it’s who I am.

And I’m not going to change that for anyone.

I had one guy reply back and lecture me on why me using that language was the wrong thing to do.

But he missed the point entirely.

I don’t want whingers like that on my list.

Period.

So it was exactly the right thing to do.

When you dare to be yourself and not worry about what others think amazing things happen.

Your confidence and belief shine through.

Like-minded people love you more.

And you repel people who are not suited to work with anyway.

So it’s a win-win.

But it takes balls of steel.

It’s a cool place to be when you can just relax, be yourself, not have to bow down to anyone and make a whole truckload of money in the process by building up an army of raving fans who “get you” and saying “Adios” to those who don’t.

And it starts with having your own product.

Tomorrow I’ll be pinging you an email about how to get your own product.

It may or may not contain “offensive” language.

But it will certainly be written from the heart, be zero fluff and be true to who I am.

Until then – have a great day.
