A guy in a hat and gloves throwing a big black plastic bag into a field from his car.

I cycled past him and he gave me a very guilty look.

I tried to spy the bag in the field as I sped past but couldn’t (and didn’t want to stop in case he was watching me in his rear-view mirror – he was just driving off at this point).

But get this:-

About 5 minutes later I did a U-turn (I’d ridden far enough) and as I was cycling back home when who should I see speeding towards me but…

Mr. Shady.

I nearly pooped a brick.

Was he going to take me out?

He sped right past me – presumably on his way back to pick up the mystery bag (because he knew there was a witness).

This is weird because he must have turned around in a field or farmer’s lane specifically to come back in the opposite direction and there’s nothing else around for miles.

Creepy.

Anyhoo – it gave me the jitters, so I got his plate number and reported it to the cops.

Now admittedly…

It could just have been a case of being in the “wrong place at the wrong time”.

And nobody wants that.
