<p>I took the dog out and I was almost blown over (much to his amusement).</p>
<p>It&#8217;s alright for him &#8211; he&#8217;s got 4-legged-drive.</p>
<p>Anyhoo, it turns out the wind had caused power spikes which did something weird to my broadband router.</p>
<p>So there I was, at 515am, on the phone to an engineer.</p>
<p>I&#8217;d tried all the usual stuff myself and exhausted my limited knowledge.</p>
<p>This guy cracked it in around 3 minutes and had me back online and able to continue working and making pennies to pay for dog biscuits.</p>
<p>He was a superhero in my eyes.</p>
<p>The lesson:-</p>
<p>It&#8217;s always better to get the help of an expert if you want things done quickly (and correctly).</p>
