I’d just been jolted several meters into the air off an inflatable “doughnut” being pulled at mach 10 by my friend Mike Morgan who was captaining the speed boat.

We were on lake Coeur D’Alene which (despite my lack of aquatical knowledge) I estimate to be at least 100,000 fathoms deep.

I looked at my wrist and the $5000 Rolex I was wearing wasn’t there.

Shit.

In a fraction of a second I felt a sensation in the fingertips of my hands.

I realized the watch had come unclasped and was milimeters away from slipping free completely and sinking to the watery depths forever.

I managed to grab it at the very last microsecond and breathed a deep sigh of relief because my Rolex means a lot to me…
