A few months ago my walk with the dog was like a multi-tasker’s wet dream;

– Exercise the dog? Check.

– Walk at a high speed to get daily cardio exercise in? Check.

– Call Dad on cellphone to say hi? Check.

Everything was going swimmingly.

And even the unwelcome arrival of a “dog’s egg” from my dog didn’t put me off my stride (or my cellphone conversation).

Poop scooped? Check.

So there I was – speed-walking down the highstreet. Dog pulling me on his lead in one hand and his recently deposited gift swinging warmly from its poop sack in the other.

(Hope you’re not eating).

But that’s when things took a turn for the worse…

I’d ended the call with my Dad a few minutes earlier and now my cell was ringing.

Rather than reaching to my backpocket (location of said cellphone) I instinctively raised my right hand, lifting a dog poop to my ear and said;

“Hello?”

The poop did not respond.

My point is this;

When you don’t have much time you need to find fast and easy shortcuts.

(Even if you do end up talking to dog poop in public)
