Near miss at 80mph this morning

I was speeding along a road at 80mph this morning in the purpose built overtaking lane.

But I’d failed to see it was running out.

There was a lorry on my side and a bus hurtling toward me on the other and the road was running out.

Fortunately I managed to squeeze back in before the lane ended – much to the annoyance of the guy behind me.

Phew.

He must’ve thought I’d done it on purpose but I just wasn’t looking far enough ahead on the road to see when it ended.
