My $3000 exercise blunder

And a couple of years’ ago I splashed out on a new bike which cost $3000.

It’s the same model some of the pros use in the Tour de France.

Maybe it would make me go fast.

It didn’t.

It made me look like a slow dude on an expensive bike.

Mainly because I didn’t really know what I was doing.

Sure.

I’d done thousands of miles cycling but not with any proper training plan or understanding behind it.

Fast-forward to today and now I’ve got a personal cycling coach.

He’s going to the Amateur World Championships this year so he knows his onions.

And he’s taught me what to do.

Now I’m much faster, winning local speed climb contests and more.

Because I now know how to use the instrument I have (my bike).

This is like Facebook.

Most people think it’s for watching videos, posting crappy memes or wasting time on.

It ain’t.

It’s for making money but you need to know how to use it properly.
