I cut it into eighths, remove the seeds and skin from all pieces and lay them all down on a big chopping board next to one another (like a cozy row of half-crescent moons all spooning one another).

Then I get a knife which Crocodile Dundee would be scared of and cut the entire melon into perfect bite-sized pieces with just five swift blade actions across all the segments simultaneously.

Boom.

Entire melon chopped and ready to eat in 27 seconds flat.
