My neighbor is trying to get into cycling, bless him.

Just the other day I was setting out on a ride when I saw him wrestling with an indoor bike trainer in his garage.

He had all the wires mixed up and kept dropping pieces as he was trying to put it together.

I did a half-hour ride, came back and he was still trying to build this thing and set it up.

I applaud him for trying but his approach was all wrong.

He had a bike.

That’s all he needs – he should just have got on it and gone for a ride.

He over-complicated it.
