Plenty of doubters said I’d never get off my ass and ride 180 miles on my bike in one day.

Never mind ride up some of the highest mountains in Northern Scotland.

Well screw them.

Because on Saturday I did it;

* 180 miles * 11,703 feet ascent * 10 hours 35 mins * 16.7 mph avg. speed

And during the last few miles my mind started turning to the powerful lessons I got from this life-affirming experience.

Here’s the lessons for ya;

#1. Anything is possible. (I would never have imagined doing this just a few years ago when I was a web potato.)

#2. Teamwork is essential. (I rode in a group which included friends and my personal cycling coach.)

#3. Everything is 90% in the mind. (If you believe you can – you can.)
