I had an interesting debate with a fellow marketer the other day…
He said;
“Hey I ran a test the other day of a salesletter versus a sales video – guess which sold better?”
I replied;
“I have no idea and if you didn’t know the results there’s no way you could know either. Only the market knows.”
I think my answer surprised him.
You see;
It doesn’t matter what you or I think about what might work best.
The only way to truly know is to run both options and let the market decide.
This is called split-testing.
And it’s where the “gold” is online.
Once you can split test you can quickly find the gold in everything you do online.
